shanghai.

theres so much to write about the trip. shall just write briefly. and state some interesting or significant incidents. there were so much fun in this trip. but there were also many disappointments and unhappiness. we arrived there the at night. we were supposed to attend a welcoming ceremony held by a school. but we were already late and tired. so it was cancelled. (this was happiness) we went to our hostel that we were supposed to stay for 7days. it was called JINCAI INTERNATIONAL DIVISION SCHOOL. we heard that the other students could stay at 3-star hotels for 7 days. but why our group must stay in a hostel? the reason was because they stayed in a 3-star hotel while we stay in a 5-star hostel. or maybe this hostel is the best hostel u can find in shanghai pudong. or the price of our accomodation does not varies much. what is pudong? shanghai is big. much bigger than singapore. our population is 4 million++ rite? theirs is 20million++. yeah. then their country is divided by a river called the huang pu jiang. so one side is called pudong and the other is puxi. we're staying at the pudong side but we would go over to puxi for some part of the trip. so the day we arrived there. the weather was perfect. at night so it was about 15deg/c. some of us couldn't take it as they wasn't used to it. but as the days past, everyone got adapted to the morning and night chill. we had our dinner upon arriving at shanghai and then check in into our hostel. what made us so excited when we saw our hostel was that in the hostel, there were 3 basketball courts and one perfect field. two basketball courts were outdoor the other was indoor. the basketball courts were totally different from those in the neighbourhood in singapore. theirs, the ring was perfect. just like those in SBC. the ring was firm and the net was just perfect too. it seemed to be build to wait for our arrival. no one seemed to have used the court before. the field was great too. everywhere was grass on the field. there were no patches for sand on the field. like those in singapore schools. then the grass were soft, just perfect for sliding. the basketball players all went so excited and felt like playing in such a cool weather and a perfect court. we immediately decided to buy a ball as carrefour was just near the hostel. we went to carrefour later in the night to buy a perfectly beautifully leather ball. but we couldn't play as it was too late. we just had a few shots before going back to our rooms. second day. we went to ZHUYUAN SCHOOL. although by looking at the school's compound, it was obvious that ANGLICAN HIGH had a better environment. but that was just looking at the cover of the book. upon entering the school. there were students forming two lines to welcome us. we had the honour to walk in between them with those loud applause. we entered the school and attend a welcome talk then we proceded to walk around to know the school better. everyone had a buddy. these buddies were assigned by the teachers there. we had about 60 singapore students at the school. we were quite guily and honoured when they asked us how we were selected to come for this trip. we said that however in our sec 2 level who want to come can just come. they gave us a shock face. we didn't understand at first. but later our teacher told us that they prepared hell lot of work for our arrival. for instance, the school's population is about 1200. 60 of arrived. so the teachers actually choosed 1 student among 200 of them. and that they were choosen arrcording to their acadamic results, family backgrounds and conduct in school. so it states that only the best in their school could be our buddies. some students there who didn't got selected, their parents even sent a complaint letter to the school asking why their child didn't got selected. even before a month of our arrival, the principal made them study singapore's history. when we heard that we were like WTF? and OMG? haha. yeah. so it explains why we felt guilt and honoured to have them. then they were super friendly. they helped us in anyway. including helping us take our food during recess. even our drink and utensils, just leave it to them. we're spoilt by them rite? we wanted to help ourselves but they are just too friendly and insist us to sit down. haha. such nice people. u cant find anymore. so for the 2nd and the 3rd day of the trip, we attended their lessons to experience their school life and to exchange some cultures. during luch time, they have their lunch in class. there would be someone who delivers food up to their class and they just have to collect them outside the class. cool rite? the lunch time was 1 hour. i had my lunch and then went down to the basketball court. as the basketball court was just perfect again. i was sure all the basketball players would be playing at the courts whenever we have the time. true enough, i saw weehoe, zhengyi, kenan and rocket at the court playing. k.c, wei yang, leonard, andy and jovan were there too but they wasn't playing. they were watching. watching weehoe, kenan, rocket and zhengyi play against their big boys in the school. around the half court were students. ZHUYUAN students crowded around the court watching them play. zhengyi was tired so i sub him. i didn't know if they were winning or losing at that time. but i think they were struggling. i went in to support weehoe's play and i chopped 7 3pointers within 15mins of play i think? it was just awesome! it was really my day. so many people watching us play and we were really nervous. hahaha. was really lucky to have a good performance with such a crowd. i can easily estimated that there were at least 120 students crowded around us to watch. maybe because they never seen anyone going down to the basketball court to play during lunch time. they usually stays in class and do their own stuffs. adding on that we're like the VIPs there. they all came down to watch. but after the game i guess they treat us differently. i think they treat us like MVPs this time. hahahaha. it was just too cool. it was the first time i felt so good after playing basketball. so two days passed slowly. and we were sick of goin to their school to study and couldn't wait for the days of playing. 4th day of the trip. we went to suzhou and then the 5th day to hangzhou and then the 6th day to wuzhen village and then on the same day come back to the hostel to stay. all this days were for leisure. we went to many tourist attraction points. i can say that all was happiness except the day at suzhou. at night, we went to this place for shopping. we have limited time and when we knew this shop was the last shop we're going to shop at. it sells fake sweaters and jackets. leon, andy and zhengyi all bought fake jackets. and they bought the same one just that it was different colours. while zhengyi was trying on his jacket, he left his camera on a table. after which he forgot to take the camera when we left the shop. so he found out when he lost the camera and i dont wish to say anything about the incident. but i really dont know why it became my fault in the end. and until now zhengyi hasn't told wu lao shi the truth. well, if it makes him happy that the fault is mine now. then let him be. so no one was involved in this incident. only i was involved was i dont want zhengyi to go through all this himself. he was so sad and i just wanted to be there for him and it became fault. whatever la huh. nevermind. we went back to shanghai on the 6th day and then stayed at the same hostel. we had to study at other schools for half of the 6th day and the rest of the 7th day. they were boring so i dont want to talk about them. then the 8th day and the 9th day was fun again. we went to places to know better and for shopping! i bought many imitations there. hahahha. dam fun. though this trip was overall fun, but i injured myself many times. we played ball almost everyday. at the hostel and in schools. once i played, i injured my finger. haha. it got dam swollen and then it becamed black the next day. haha. then the other time, i injured my toe. my big toe. haha. i wasn't playing ball with shoes in the indoor court of the hostel at night. then i fell on my own while trying to fake zhengyi. hahaha. pure stupidity. it was alright at first but just after about 5mins. zhihong stepped on my toe after getting a rebound. that was it. i couldn't play anymore. hahahhaa. dam funny. but it wasn't his fault also as it was my idea not to wear shoes. haha. so my toe got dam swollen too. hahahhaha. then the next day, the pain on my toe was bearable so i went to play soccer. hahahhaha! there were boys from 2H and 2D. so we decided to play 7 aside against class. haha. our class had zhihong as goalkepper. weiyang, leon and zhengyi as defenders. leonard and junrong as midfielders. and i was up front. hahaha. the score was 5-0. hahahaha! 2H won. hahaha. i score the 1st goal. then junrong the 2nd goal. leonard with the 3rd goal. then the 4th and 5th goal i score both. hahaha. HAT-TRICK! hahaha. it was glory for basketball players and badminton players to win. haha. while playing soccer i slide once and my knee bled. hahaha. injured again. then after the game we went up to bathe. while bathing i accidentaly turn the water tap to almost boiling heat. hahah. then i SCALDED myself!! hahahhahaahha! i dont know but i feel dam dumb writing this. hahaha. so my neck on shoulder got dam red. luckily no blisters. on the last night. we all didn't had enough fun. so we decided not to sleep. one room wasn't big enough for everyone to party. so we opened two rooms. weiyang/leonards room and julian/leons room. in the end. leon, andy and jovan laid on the bed around 11pm and said they were resting and would wake up at 1am. expected that they would not wake up. hahaha. yes true enough it was like that. zhengyi and i was alone in the other room. so we talked a little bit and both of us stayed from about 12.30am to 2am? we talked bout certain stuffs and then we took pictures! haha. i forced him into some and i took many self-obessesion shots. hahaha. so it still fun thoughout the last night. everyone had a smile on their face except weehoe. i can see why he was like that. he couldn't bear to leave this person from ZHUYUAN SCHOOL. i can see that he had deep feelings for her already. well, i'm happ that he has changed his target rather than waiting for that girl in our school which is not as worthy of his love. luckily this girl likes him too and that finally his love would be appreciated. they had each other's contact numbers. but he couldn't msg her the last day to tell her that he was leaving as her phone was confiscated. but when we were at the airport, checking in already. it was really last minute then she msg him. i felt really relieved to see him smile. i'm sure that just brighten up his day. and i really felt so happy for both of them. i dont know how she got back her phone but at least it was her effort to msg him. so i really wish both of them the best and weehoe, if one day u want to go back to shanghai to find her. and u need someone to accompany u over, i would tell u that i would be first to go over with you if u need me. okay? u must cheer up! :) i can see in many of our eyes at the last day at the airport that many was about to cry. i knew the main reason was because of our tour guide. he was a dam dam dam dam dam dam nice guy. he is only 21 and thus, he could communicate with us so well. he is just so nice. i really want to thank him so much. he took care of us, he protected us from wu lao shi's scolding, he secretly let me, zhengyi, leon, andy and jovan off to go for shopping. he played basketballs with us. he went to buy medicine for all my injuries. he was just there. the last day, we all just couldn't let him go. we all wanted to cry. i can see that he was about to cry too. it was his first time to bring a group of students for such a long time. 9days. his first time. so he felt that it was really fate to bring us together and he promised to come to singapore one day to find us. i really cant wait for that day. he let me know many things and also taught me many things. i wish he could read this entry so that i can tell him how much all of us want to thank him again. and how much we missed him already.
